Mr. Arfa Waheed Malik

Mr. Arfa Waheed Malik is Masters in Economics from Government College Lahore. A Banker by profession, associated with the financial industry for the past 36 years. During the career gained practical insight and experience in the fields of Management, Finance, Marketing and Strategic planning. He passed from BCCI training academy in the international cadre in 1982, and was posted in the Middle East region of BCCI one of the largest and most profitable region of the International Bank. After return to Pakistan in 1992, worked in senior positions for a Modaraba Fund and an Investment Bank, these institutions were known for their participation in debt and equity capital markets of the country. 90’s was the time of financial liberalization in Pakistan which gave an opportunity to Bankers to develop their understanding into the effects of financial liberalization on industry, Project and Development finance, business and commerce. He Joined Bank Alfalah in 1998 and played a key role in Bank Alfalah’s evolution from a 3-branch fledgling entity to a vibrant institution of 450+ branch network. Had worked extensively in the field (branch & region in the first 9 years) and HO levels (during the ensuing 5 years) representing various HO committees* of the bank during the 14-year career at Bank Alfalah. Played a key role in the organic growth and team building of the bank (model emulated later by Banks in the industry) resulted in achieving the feat of becoming the 5th largest commercial bank in Deposit and 6th largest bank in Balance sheet footing terms countrywide by 2012.He resigned from Bank Alfalah in June 2013 and joined FSC (Financial Solution Consulting) a Financial and HR consulting firm as Executive Director.
